Some of the InkCycle gang attend "Social Media Basic Training" |
In our Servant Leadership corporate culture, it’s my duty to arm our people with the right tools for the job… even if that scares me. Case in point: Salespeople and Social Media!
I’ve had some people tell me they would never allow their employees to share insights, information and conversations on sites like FaceBook, YouTube and Twitter. Personally, I don’t understand that mentality. After all, don’t we want our people having conversations with other people? Seems to me it would be pretty difficult to sell without having conversations.
Yes, there are some risks but I am the 50+ year old guy who rode his bike today to work for the first time in a couple of decades. (It's just a “living on the edge” kind of thing.) Or, maybe, it’s the belief that when you have great people, provide great training and give them great tools, they will accomplish great things.
