John Reardon, Group Director, Office Document Technologies, at InfoTrends shared with us some of the key finding in his 2011 research on mobility.

His general findings are that companies are rapidly transforming around the concept of technology for their employees, customers and supply chain.  Those who are adapting the technologies that allow mobile workers to have access to documents and information on the go is expecting to increase greatly over the next three years.

It was estimated that mobile knowledge workers in the United States consume 60% of the documents they interest with onscreen.  Hard copy prints are becoming unnecessary to process and use information. Right now, there are three top IT initiatives and those are mobility, security and business intelligence/analytics.  Your customers are spending a huge amount of time and resources to manage mobile workers, with about 70% of employees requiring mobile access to company resources.

This trend presents an enormous opportunity for dealers to manage mobile document, whether utilizing cloud technologies or other remote access resources.

Are you currently helping your customers with their mobile workforce?  Do you plan on offering that service in the future?
